My Mom
The best thing about my mom is her mental
strength. She’s too strong for me even. She told me that she was broken down
after my father’s demise. Okay, that was one thing. But she took just 2 months
to recover. She joined a job and engaged herself. Because of my brother’s
vacation, she even told him to join the classes where she was serving. So, even
my brother is teaching with my Mom.
She was a lot confused when it came down to managing the leftover funds. She thought she had to manage it all by herself. But let me tell you my Mom that there are your two sons here to help you out. I said her we’ll manage it somehow. I just told it because she was tensed. I hardly knew how to manage it.
She is now up and running all by herself. She has probably set an example for the society. She insists to focus on girls’ education. My Mom got married at the age of 19. She had hardly studied anything by that time. This is the usual trend in my society. Girls usually get married at the age of 19-20. So there’s no scope of studies for girls. They are neglected. When a girl faces a situation like my Mom, it becomes so much difficult to make money for a living. You don’t have a professional degree to do a job. Her argument is so much genuine.
Before my Dad’s incident, my Mom hardly knew anything about banking terms. She knows now deposition of money, debiting, crediting and much more. She has got it all naturally. Even I have been able to know these things.
She is confident and self-dependent. She
says that the difference between my Dad and her is the heart. My Dad had a weak
heart. The pressure of fees and loans would have got to him. The mental
pressure got so much that he couldn’t resist. But my Mom’s different. She wants
me to be like her and not like my Dad (just in a strong heart’s sense). But
they were a perfect match by character.
My Mom is probably my role model from now. I believe that somewhere down the line I’ll need her and she’ll always be there for me. In this tough time, we, as a family, have fought together and got out of it. She still has tears in her eyes sometimes. But I think that’s natural. After all, there are two persons in this situation who always get hurt the most, Mom and wife. I ask her that why does she still cry. She says ‘beta, it happens sometimes!’
Yes, after all, he was the BEST part of our
life.
