How to discover your End Goal?
So, according to the textbook, End Goal
means discovering where you really want to go or whom do you really want to end
up with. It means the single most goal that you want to achieve in life and the
path you are willing to take to achieve that.
For instance, someone’s life goal can be
as basic as getting a home or earning a six-figure amount by the time they are
30 or simply getting a dream job at Google or Facebook. The catch here is to
explore new avenues and, in the process, discover your End Goal of Life.
After discovering your End Goal or your
destination, you need to figure out the journey or how you are going to reach
there because the journey is the most important of your goal. It is going to
take you to the destination or the fruit that you have longed for so long.
For Instance, if you talk about me my life
goal is to travel the world and roam around the most beautiful cities and have
new experiences with new people and make lasting memories for life. In order to
achieve that, my first step will be to start with exploring places in and
around my city; and then figure out the next step. Similarly, someone with a
life goal of earning a six-figure amount will start with earning 20k per month having
been employed at an organization and after getting enough experience in his/her
field of interest, he might dream of a startup or becoming self employed and
reaching to the destination.
Empires aren’t built in a day; Rome wasn’t
built in a day and so, you got to have it in you to grind it out when the going
gets tough. Therefore, the idea is to dream; then discover your End Goal; then
work on it and achieve it. Once again, the first step of your journey is going
to be the most important and the most difficult because there will be many
external factors that will test your patience and temperament but only the
toughest will survive. In the process, the next steps will be gradually
revealed to you.
